TV Time

My brother Ronnie and sister-in-law Laura got us this TV console for a wedding gift. It goes perfect with our new TV!! Yes, that's Law and Order playing on the screen. Yeah!

Purple Nail Art!

Today I decided to get creative with my nails!

I used all OPI:

Base Purple- Madewell to Order

Glitter- Save Me

Metallic- Designer...de better

Purple Glitter- Divine Swine

First I started with a purple base. This took three coats. 

Then I took my paint brush and painted Metallic corners on my thumb, middle and pinky finger.

Then I took a bobby pin (as my dotting tool) and made polk-a-dots with the metallic paint. 

Then I added purple glitter (divine swine) to the top of the metallic. 

Then to top it off I added Glitter (save me) to the metallic. 

Done!!

My brother got me this necklace on etsy.com after I gave him a little hint hint. I'm OBSESSED with it!

Holiday 2011

NYC-Ohio-NYC baby!! We had such a great time over the holidays.



We drove to Robert's sister's house in Cincinnati for the holidays. It was great to hang out with the family. Robert's parents above.

Lay-Z-boy

Robert is OBSESSED with getting a recliner couch. I'm not a huge fan of the style but I have to say they are really comfortable.



Sherilyn came with us to try out couches today.



We discovered the pop up cocktail table in Ohio too. This is amazing especially since we don't have a kitchen or dining room table.


I like this couch color however The one below is way more comfortable.



Am I really considering this?? Oh someone help me. Ha!! I am happy that they are:

Nail Art!

For Christmas I got brushes, acrylic paint and polish so I could create nail art. (thanks Brenda)



We had a pop up nail salon after dinner. Where everyone got their nails done. Even Robert's mom who got ruby red glitter.



Wendy our niece an amazing artist painted turtles, Japanese cherry blossoms and Brutus on our nails!!



So fun!!

Road Tripping

Robert, Lola, Bean (dog we're dog sitting) and I hopped in the car yesterday for a little road trip to Ohio for Christmas.



2 bathroom breaks, one missed turn, an unexpected Pittsburgh drive through, 1 tiny yelling match and 9 hours later we got to Brock's parents house where we decided to STN (spend the night).

Brock's mom made us an amazing breakfast!!




Now we're back on the road to Cincinnati. Woo-Hooo!! Merry Christmas Friends!!

Obsessions

Few things I've been obsessed with:


I'm loving Nail polish in all different coors. This is Essie sexy divide (bottom) with OPI getting Miss Piggy with it (red glitter)




My hair has been getting so long and i love it. I kind of feel like Demi Moore- like I might be too old for hair this long but it makes me feel oh so good. I'm letting all grow out one length. I no longer have bangs. Dude! Prenatal vitamins do wonder for your hair, skin and nails. Love it!!


Last but not least I'm obsessed with the new Still Life Hats we have at the shop. This is the one I got. LOVE!!

Our Rings

I got my ring yesterday!! They didn't have my size when we first went there before we got married so they had to order it from Paris and it arrived this weekend. I'm OBSESSED with it. Now it's all complete. 

Three things I wanted when Robert asked me "What kind of ring do you want?" 

1. I don't want a solitaire ring, I want a band with diamonds

2. I want us to wear the same ring

3. I want to be able to stack my rings

Robert proposed with the most PERFECT platinum vintage diamond band (Check #1). I looked high and low for something perfect for him. He's a bit edgy so a plain band wasn't going to do. I found what I was looking for at Cartier.....The Tank Francaise Wedding Band to be exact. We got one for me in rose gold with little diamonds around it (Check #2). Robert wears his with a ring I bought him when we started dating. Our friend Anna Sheffield made them. It's our friendship ring and I have the same one I wear on my right hand. I stack my wedding ring with my engagement ring and other vintage rings Robert got me too. (Check #3)

LOVE THESE BROWS

I've been trying to "shape" my eyebrows...what ever the hell that means. I came across this beauty in the NYT and am OBSESSED with her brow. I mean it doesn't hurt she's REALLY pretty but you get the gist. 

Brrrrrrrrr......

It's winter in NYC. Although the sun is still shining the weather is freezing. Today it was all about layers in shades of brown.



I'm wearing a tank top, shirt, sweater, vest and puffy jacket. I'm kind of obsessed with my brown puffy jacket. Check out the back of it.



It looks like a tailored jacket kind of. Love a little Moncler girly touch!
