Pain in my chest

Went to the doctor today to get an annual check up and talk to him about this pain in my chest that I've had for the last week. I of course had visions of the doctor telling me I had a heart problem...oh no that's not what it was. I pulled something and inflamed the cartilage around my rib cage. The one time I did go to the gym (in the last 2 months) I of course hurt myself. DUDE...it hurts to lay certain ways and if I eat too much it hurts to breath. I have to take Advil, using a heating pad and not exercise above the waist for 3 weeks. The good news is that I have an AWESOME doctor which are really hard to come by in NYC. This was my first visit and he was really cool. YEAH!

In the moment

My friend Keith just sent this photo to me...I love it. It's so in the moment. Can we just step back and notice a few things: My hair looks AMAZING! (who's wearing fake hair) and Robert looks so handsome. I love his hair an his By Robert James suit is so amazing!!

Sunday Dinner

Robert and I work a ton and don't always get to eat dinner together so we promised each other no matter how busy we are or how many things we have to do that we'd spend every Sunday dinner together. I mean don't get me wrong we have dinner together a few times during the week it's just nice to relax together on Sunday.




Tonight we had beef stew. Something Robert is used to eating. My CA Chinese ass not so much. Thank God for the Internet.

South Africa Here We Come

Robert and I just booked our 2 week vacation in South Africa!! So excited. This is kind of our honeymoon (ish). 

Our good friends Jonathan and Cynthia Pearson live there so before they move we thought we better get out there. I am BEYOND excited because I've never been and everyone tells me that it's a life changer. 

We're going to a music festival the first weekend we get there....you camp, listen to great music and hang out in a stream...HELLO!!! This is my kind of fun. YEAH!!

When it rains it pours

A great thing that (didn't happen) on our wedding:

 Robert and I got married at our friend Eve and Earl's house. Originally we were going to get married in their front driveway and have the party in the backyard. THEN..the weather called for rain and Heather (aka life saver wedding planner) swapped it. She tented the front driveway for the reception and we prayed for no rain during the backyard ceremony/cocktail hour. Well about 5 hours before our wedding we realized it wasn't going to rain but we loved the idea of getting married in the backyard so we kept it that way. It was a HUGE SUCCESS!! I was really, really happy that it almost rained. The next day it rained cats and dogs.

We had a party at the Saloon last week for our out of town guest and Lola got to come in....Cute!

Hair Do

Getting my hair done!! I kind of love the shirt/dress right? Perfect to take off when make up is done. Ha!




We added fake hair to make it fuller. Thanks to my friend Janjay who took me to go and get it.

Party at the Saloon

To start the wedding festivities off we had a party at The Saloon in my hometown bar on Wednesday night. (11/9/11)This was a great way for people who are attending the wedding to hang out and meet each other. We partnered with my twin friends Amy and Kate to celebrate their birthday and boy did we celebrate! Everyone came out and we had TONS of fun. Lola was even there. 

I can't say the walk home was that cute (I won't mention what happened) BUT I'm please to say that the night ended happily by me eating a bean and cheese burrito with enchilada sauce on top!! HA!

PS- Can we talk about the Top Shop dressing I'm wearing? I HIGHLY recommend this to all my friends. Its SUCKS you in and makes you feel like a million dollars. Check it out here.

Manolo Madness

What a thrill...the Manolo Blahnik sample sale. I went of course to look for shoes for my wedding :) ...I didn't find any for the big day BUT I did find some amazing shoes I'll be rocking this winter and spring. CUTE!!

In LOVE

I'm really, really, really excited about getting married....it's starting to sink in and I can't WAIT. I actually wish it wasn't coming so fast because I know that 24 hour period is going to be one of the best days of my life. Who's getting emotional right now...I AM!! xoxo ML soon to be MRJ
