Colors and Theme

So...what I'm learning is when you start thinking about your wedding there are two things you need to figure out first. COLOR AND THEME. My colors are blue (indigo), cream and black. I went to a ribbon store in NYC and found my colors. My theme is vintage, rustic and CA style.  Once you pick your colors and theme you have some kind of direction in how your wedding is going to look. So, when I was doing my research I picked things that went with my theme and colors. See...

This is a great way to combine my colors while creating a piece of decor.

Love this box with the blue ribbon.

I love the blue mason jars with the twine.

This is a good way to get the colors in to the invites.

Frames...flowers..cute!

Love these little give aways with our colors.

I like how this mixes mason jars with sand (CA style)

LOVE- Dress

I'm visiting my best friend in Oklahoma this weekend. She set me up on an appointment to try on dresses. It's kind of weird to try on dresses with her because we've been best friends for over 20 years and  it made me feel like a grown up....you know like we're making the next step in our lives. I mean this is a girl I went to 6th grade camp with, we driven cross country, moved in with each other, she had a baby, I'm engaged..you get it.

Below is the first dress I saw and tried on. It has pockets..of course.  I LOVE IT!! Chris says it's perfect too. It's in my price range and I feel great in it.

Garden to go

I love this look!

Stamp It

I was looking at postage stamps to see what would go good with my blue colored envelopes. What if I put Mother Teresa stamps on my invites...HAHAH! I'm laughing at myself.

I like these Celebrate stamps too.

Did you know you could CUSTOMIZE your stamps too. For a whopping $10 more a sheet (20 come in a sheet) It's cute but not sure if I'm in to the extra $40 I'd have to spend.

Customize stamps here.

JCrew Love

Went to JCrew with Whitney and Kofi to try on dresses. I fell in love with the Sasha. (I love how all these dresses have names.) The dress is simple, chic (minus the flower) and has pockets. I showed Robert and he says that the bottom looks like a trash bag. I love the way I feel in this dress though.

The Liane

I think I'm falling in love. When I went to Lovely Bride the girl brought me at the last minute this dress.  It's the Wtoo Liane. I was like woo I'm not sure about this one. Then I tried it on and I felt like I should be in Gone With the Wind! I showed Robert and he LOVES it!! I tried it on again and I'm thinking this might be the one BUT something is holding me back. It's a LOT of a dress.  Tomorrow I'm going to Jcrew. We shall see.

Dress..Which one

Ok, I tried on the BHLDN dress last night. It's SUPER cute BUT it's not long and the boob part on the top is tight. It slightly digs in my chest. I've been eyeing the Watters collection (see photo below). I found a store in NYC called BK Bridal RIGHT by me so I'm going to swing by there. Wish me luck!!

Love at first sight...

So, if you know me you know that I never leave home with out a camera of some sort. Whether it be my Canon G11, Canon powershot OR my iPhone AND I'm always taking photos. Robert found this out very early in our relationship. This is the FIRST photo I took of him on our FIRST date. He probably was like what the hell is wrong with this girl... hhahah. Actually he did tell me he thought it was weird that I always took photos but he's used to it now(ish).
